SHAHADAA T.O.A.
(The Minstril x Amiri Rawayeh)
Our 1992 Straight Egyptian Foundation mare is the classic headed, graceful and stunningly beautiful, Shahadaa. She is the type of horse that writers depict in ancient stories of the Bedouin desert mounts; the horse of Kings and Sheik's and pashas. Kuhaylah Ajus (Rodan) in strain, the pedigree of Shahadaa reflects an interesting combination of Abbeyan, Hadban and Saqlawi. Through her pedigree, some of the most famous Egyptian horses are found. A great deal of her beauty derives from her grandsire, TheEgyptianPrince, a Saqlawi Jidran stallion and it is easy to see how blood tells all through the generations.
Shahadaa is a remarkable mare having proven to be an outstanding show winner and producer of show winners. In her short 2-year career, Shahadaa garnered three Reserve Champion Titles and one Top Ten at the Egyptian Event.
Shahadaa has blessed us with seven outstanding foals to date.
The first of Shahadaa's foals, Sabiha Raqqasa, is a 1996 bay filly by Thee Desperado. Sabiha was an Egyptian Event Top Five winner three years in a row.
In 1999, she won a coveted Top Ten at the prestigious Scottsdale show as a three year old.
The second, Thee Richocet, a 1999 bay colt by Thee Desperado, garnered the title of Yearling Futurity Champion at the 2000 Egyptian Event and three days later was named Futurity/World Jr. Champion. Richocet is now owned by Al Khalidiah Farm in Saudi Arabia. He was named Reserve Champion in Amman, Jordan in 2002 and Egyptian National Champion in Al Zaharaa Egypt in 2003. He is siring champion foals in his very first foal crop. Ricochet's 2 year old son, *Warad Khalediah, was named Supreme Champion at the 2007 Egyptian Event in the USA.
The third, Thee Bravado, a 2001 bay colt by Thee Desperado, garnered in 2002 the title of Egyptian Event Yearling Futurity Champion, Egyptian Event World Class Reserve Champion, and Region 9 Sweepstakes Reserve Champion. In 2003 he was pinned Egyptian Event Futurity Champion, Egyptian Event Unanimous World Champion and Egyptian Event Jr. Champion Colt. Bravado is now standing at stud in Umbria, Italy on lease to Andrea Alpaca. He has a large foal crop coming in 2007 and we understand those already born are outstanding.
The fourth foal out of Shahadaa is Shah el Farid, a 2003 gray colt by Anaza El Farid. Shah competed at the 2004 Egyptian Event, garnishing a Top Ten in the very competitive Futurity class. Shah has been very competitive in all his shows and is now standing at Brookville Arabians in Scottsdale.
The fifth foal just arrived on 2/17/07, a beautiful gray colt by Al Adeed Al Shaqab we've named Shahdeed. He is an extremely typey colt and so much like his Mother. We plan to begin marketing him soon.
And lastly, Shahadaa had another 2007 foal in April, this one by *Kenz Noor, a very feminine filly that we will retain as a future show winner and brood mare.
